CEA Project Logistics Myanmar has completed the transportation and installation of two huge 18 Tonne vertical storage tanks at a Yangon brewery. The project was complex due to two cranes being required to operate and maneuver these tanks in a very narrow location outside the facility.
Before the tanks arrived, CEA teams had to prepare the installation area by affixing anchor bolts to each concrete tank base. When the first tank arrived both the 100 Tonne mobile crane and 30 Tonne tailing crane had to position themselves on both sides of the trailer in the narrow alley, which required slings to be attached to both ends of the tank as the cranes began the lift.
Due to working in such a confined space each tank had to be lifted above and clear of the adjacent buildings, the crane then turned and lowered each tank onto its concrete base allowing for final alignment and the anchor bolts to be fixed. CEA Project Logistics Myanmar are quickly becoming transportation and installation specialists throughout the developing country, with an increasingly impressive portfolio of completed projects.
