ZIM recently announced their updated strategy, and are in the final phase of implementing their new network that will commence operation April 2017.
ZIM’s new service, ZIM MED PACIFIC (ZMP), will serve both the Asia-PNW trade and the Asia – East-Med/Black Sea trades. The service will deploy fifteen 4,500 TEU capable vessels. ZMP rotation: Port Kelang, Cai Mep, Da Chan Bay, Yantian, Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Vancouver, Pusan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Da Chan Bay, Port Kelang, Ashdod, Haifa, Istanbul, Novorossiysk, Odessa, Istanbul, Haifa, Port Kelang
In addition, a second Pacific string, ZIM Pacific North (ZPN), announced recently, will operate on the following rotation: Hong Kong, Yantian, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, Pusan, Tacoma, Vancouver, Pusan, Kwangyang, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong
Additionally, ZIM is launching a new India – East-Med/Black Sea string, India Med Express (IMX), with the following rotation: Mundra, Hazira, Nava Sheva, Colombo, Alexandria, Haifa, Mersin, Istanbul, Mundra
