MOL and MSC Partner to Enhance CX1 Service between Panama and Amazon

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) today announced the enhancement of its Panama and Amazon trade by forming a new partnership with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).

As a result, CX1 will add weekly service from Manaus to the Panamanian hub of Manzanillo. MOL says the schedule reliability of the service will also be improved.

The first sailing of the upgraded CX1 service will be MSC ANAHITA V.AZ703A on January 19, 2017 from Manzanillo, Panama. MOL will operate one vessel out of total four vessels, and the effective vessel size will be 1,800 TEU.

Port coverage of the new joint service of CX1 will be: Manzanillo (Panama), Manaus, Vila Do Conde, Manzanillo (Panama)
