“K” Line Completes New Cold Storage Facility in Vietnam

“K” Line has completed construction of a cold storage warehouse in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The facility was built by CLK Cold Storage Company Ltd. – a joint-venture established by Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” Line), Cool Japan, and Japan Logistic Systems. This facility was the first cold storage project, from design and construction to cooling equipment and operation of the warehouse, to be led entirely by Japanese companies in Vietnam. The team also utilized the knowledge of Bangkok Cold Storage Ltd, to assist in utilizing various protective measures for goods as well as energy-saving measures. This is the first facility to provide super frozen storage room in Vietnam, where the temperature range can be adjusted from from −50°C to +25°C.

A large contributor to this new  warehouse is the push to promote Japanese foods and ingredients in Vietnam, which is expected to grow even more in the future.
